The students are selected after completing 10th grade/SSLC through a rigorous selection process that includes a test and an interview.
Currently, the Asia Council Scholarship program supports around 1,500,000 students across 72 countries in Asia, including approximately 20,000 in India from various states such as Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Odisha, New Delhi, Ladakh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Bengal.

Those selected students for Hr secondary will be eligible for a two-year scholarship from the Foundation and Graduation depends on course and duration and performance .
If they continue to excel, recipients will have the opportunity to receive additional funding for pursuing any degree course of their interest, including medical courses also.
These scholarships are made available through the Foundation or by external sponsors who are registered with the Foundation.
The scholarship amounts for graduation courses range from Rs 10,000 to Rs 75,000 per year, varying based on factors like state, course, and duration.
The scholarship amounts for Medical graduation courses range from Rs 75,000/- to Rs 1,50,000 per year, varying based on factors like state, course, and duration. .

For School Students :
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 70% marks in Class 10 (60% for students with disabilities) and have gained admission to the first year of a Hr secondary /Intermediate degree or professional program in the Academic Year 2026–27.
The annual family income must be less than ₹3 Lakhs. Application free of cost.

For College Graduates :
Applicants must have secured a minimum of 70% marks in Class 12 (60% for students with disabilities) and have gained admission to the first year of a degree or professional program in the Academic Year 2026–27.
For medical Must have attended NEET 2026 examination .
The annual family income must be less than ₹3 Lakhs.

Selection Process:
Eligible applicants will undergo a selection process, including a test and interview, before final selection for the scholarship. Home visit will be mandatory after final selection and should be available for all virtual training programs of SKill develpoement.
Important Dates:
Application last date : 25th July 2026
16th August to 31st August 2026: Interview/Tests will be scheduled during this time frame.
Exact date will be intimated to each of the candidates seperately.
